Alex Wagman was the first worthy student-athlete AAO Scholarship award winner in June of 2008 after graduating from HCHS. He came back his senior year after persevering and overcoming obstacles from summer surgery and chemotherapy treatment for cancer all the while maintaining a high GPA. He won a starting position as a defensive lineman on the varsity football team his final season.
