Alex had always wanted to play high school football as a young boy. As a Freshman and Sophomore, his playing time was limited somewhat because of his severe facial skin eruptions that caused bleeding and much pain from the helmet chin strap. The strap exacerbated the problem to the point where the field officials required him to leave the game temporarily because of the blood. He lined his chin strap with silk to reduce the friction and blood. He outgrew these issues later to become Offensive Captain his Senior year and graduated with honors. He will be attending the University of Florida in the fall and will try to make the football team as a walk-on.
